Lola had her first day of school today and she did great and so did I. She was excited and has two new teachers this year!
As we did last year, we made our lunch box and backpack! But this year Lola was big enough to pick out her fabric! She loves going to the fabric store and I hope she doesn’t outgrow that! It’s too much fun. She was sooooo proud of her backpack and lunch sack, which made it all worth it. Since they play a lot, she wore cute pink comfy clothes to school!
About an hour before school was over, I got a phone call… the director called letting me know that Lola wasn’t into napping! Since they were forewarned, this was no surprise and we decided I would just get her at noon every school day instead of the afternoon. It’s a good solution and I guess I have the only crazy 2 year old that doesn’t nap! That’s okay with me since we made such HUGE progress at night now! I prayed for a happy child and I indeed have one- happy and energetic and… talkative!
I think the squirrel picture may one day be iconic. She always finds herself cheesin’ with the squirrel statue. :) I guess it will be tradition.
So proud of you Lola Lou and can’t wait to see how much you learn this year. You are GREAT!
