So I am organizing my pictures so I can post several posts, dating back to Easter… but this series of pictures are too cute not to post now.
It’s toddler greatness at it’s best.
Backstory- Clay and I (not so much Clay since he doesn’t have to deal with her, but yes Clay, because he has to deal with me after I have dealt with her) decided to start a new bedtime routine that was here to stay. Serious.
And it’s working. I cannot “cold turkey” Lola because she is too strong-willed. Serious again. So new bedtime routine goes like this…
Home by 8 p.m. (It’s nice when it’s earlier). Bathed and ready for bed no later than 9 p.m. Lola can lay in bed with a small snack and cup of milk and watch a little bit of Elmo or just eat her snack normally while I pick up the house. Then I come in and turn off TV, read Charlotte’s Web to her, then tickle her back or hold her hand till she falls asleep. It’s not perfect, but it is certainly a huge improvement and gives me lots of hope.
So glad this is working, but now only is it working, Lola is carrying on the new routines with her baby…
I thought Lola was playing too well in her room so I snuck a peek and this is what I saw… are you ready?? :)
(Yes! That’s Charlotte’s Web!)
I want to laugh and cry all at the same time. She is so big and smart and this totally is the sweetest thing ever. (Sorry for the funky photos- her lights were even off!) And you should hear Lola say “Wilbur.” That’s pretty cute too.
Muah Lola!
