Pretty for Preschool

043

Lola went to her first day of Preschool this past week!  With much prayer by me, we both did great!  I really felt God’s presence.  It’s funny how as a mom or dad you can feel God’s presence in the strangest of situations or places… (like when your two week old has an explosion during her Ba’s pro golf tournament… Lola ask Nonna about this story one day!)  Clay and I were able to go together to drop Lola off which was something I was really excited about so he could see everything!  He carried her in and she about jumped out of his arms when she saw the classroom with the kiddos.  She went straight in and started playing never looking back!  I was like “Um… bye kiddo.”  We stayed a minute to watch and couldn’t believe how she was just so carefree and never looked to see where we went! Not usual at all and I really felt like it was God’s way of patting me on the back for making what I felt like was the right decision for both of us.  A lot of praying this week and I just had a peace about her going… anytime I got anxious I just simply asked God to calm my spirit because I felt like I was doing the right thing… and He did!  May sound silly to say, because her going or not going probably doesn’t matter- but as a momma I just needed a peace about sending her to a Mother’s Day Out type thing and the place I choose.

Kind of funny because today at church I thought she would be a pro and she certainly did good, but not as well as she did last week at preschool, so it even made me feel more like God just was wrapped around us that day!

These pictures are the best I could get…

I am so completely proud of Lola and look forward to seeing how this week goes.  She’s such a great girl and know she will really enjoy preschool this year!

Love you Lola!

Lola looks so grown up yet still so itty bitty! Yay for pre-school fun. I'm glad you got through it and were able to have peace about it. Not easy watching our little birdies grow and being in someone else's care. But nice for mommy to have a little time too :0)
